My educational and work experiences are varied.  I believe that this variety helps me bring to you a unique set of experiences that enable me to work effectively with you as your Realtor.  My background is basically in teaching and counseling, and that is the format that I bring to you.  I don't try to "sell" real estate to my clients.  Rather, it is my intention to teach and counsel you, to work with you as your partner through the real estate transaction.

Born in Alabama, I moved to Texas in 1976 and to Tarranty County in 1980.  I received a B.S. degree in math and psychology from Troy State University and an M.S. degree in counseling from Troy State University in Montgomery.  I also did additional graduate work in counseling at Auburn University.  Since deciding to become a Realtor, I have taken courses in real estate through Tarrant County College and Texas Tech University.

I have taught a variety of subjects from high school math and science to college-level counseling to computer operation and programming classes for business personnel.  I have worked as a counselor, an educational diagnostician, and director of research and evaluation for a community mental health agency.  I have owned, managed, and maintained rental properties.  I have also been an active school and church volunteer and have been very involved with the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and the North Fort Worth Historical Society.

My husband, a geologist and commercial real estate developer, and I have been married 22 years. Our daughter, Heather, is also a Realtor® and an integral part of Team Wilson.

My leisure activities and hobbies are also varied.  In enjoy reading, swimming, skating, sewing, crocheting, and crafts projects.  I have also been involved in performing Old West gunfight reenactments as a member of Legends of the West.

As a professional Realtor, I am a member of the Metrotex Board of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
